Tags & Registration FAQs

You will need the following in order to renew online:

1. Tag, Title or VIN
2. Insurance Information (Company Name, Policy #, NAIC #, Policy Holder)
3. Credit Card

You will receive an email on the next business day with the exact amount charged to your card.

Yes. Once you have completed your online renewal, simply email Support@ClassenTag.com and indicate that you will be picking it up. Your decal will be available on the next business day after 3:00 pm.

Yes. Once you have completed your online renewal, simply email Support@ClassenTag.com and indicate that you would like to have it sent via overnight, 2 day or 3 day.

Your tag is due no later than the last day of the expiration month.

You are allotted one grace month by statute in which you will not be assessed penalty on your tag renewal. Starting with the first day of the month after your grace month, penalty is assessed at the rate of $1.00 per day up to a maximum of $100.00 for 100 days of penalty. For example: if your tag expires in January then your grace month would be February and penalty would start to accrue on the first day of March.

WARNING: You are not granted a grace month by any other state authority. As a result you could be cited by law enforcement for an expired tag beyond your expiration month.

Current Statutory Tag Rates:

Years 1-4:
Annual fee is $96.00 + $1.50 (insurance) + applicable mail fee.

Years 5-8:
Annual fee is $86.00 + $1.50 (insurance) + applicable mail fee.

Years 9-12:
Annual fee is $66.00 + $1.50 (insurance) + applicable mail fee.

Years 13-16:
Annual fee is $46.00 + $1.50 (insurance) + applicable mail fee.

Years 17-up:
Annual fee is $26.00 + $1.50 (insurance) + applicable mail fee.

*Additional Fees include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Penalty which accrues at the rate of $1.00 per day beginning on the first day of the month after your grace month.
2. Credit Card convenience fees charged by the State of Oklahoma when a credit or debit card is used to pay taxes are $2.00 plus 2.25%.

No. Penalties always apply starting on the first day of the month after your grace month.

Yes, you must keep your current registration in your vehicle at all times.

Replacement or duplicate registrations may be obtained by selecting the Registration tab and then selecting Duplicate Registration.

Simply download Affidavit for Replacement of Lost, Stolen or Mutilated Decal/Tag   (797-D) and email Support@ClassenTag.com or bring it in to a tag agency.

Simply download Vehicle Information Request (769) and email Support@ClassenTag.com or bring it in to a tag agency.

Yes. This type of tag is called a “Non Use Tag” and is available for vehicles which are not driven.

Simply download Affidavit of Non-Use in Lieu of Liability Insurance (797) and email Support@ClassenTag.com or bring it in to a tag agency.

No. The only thing provided for by statute is a “Non Use Tag” which allows a vehicle tag to be renewed without liability insurance if it is not going to be driven. Regular penalties apply.
